She Will Not Fall (lyrics)

Download the mp3, here

At the age of 2, sex abuse by lord knows who

Been given nightmares, being haunted by the clues

A face black by shadows was the one to misuse

Her lost of innocence she did not choose

Growing up she was afraid to touch

And would touch too much

Making candid dudes blush

Her secret was hush

All though she was a slut,

But never would bump and grind

But the fellas told them lines.

This little miss was freak in the sack

She let me hit from the back

They carry on with this and that

The truth is, she's just a cat with a lion's roar

She'd flirt hardcore but couldn't handle anymore

She loved the glamour, being the center of attention

Thought fund what's missing by false sexual intentions

Bringing dudes to submission

But the goodies she wasn't given

Angering the fellas by her misrepresentin'

But after a couple shots delinquents like to plot

They met up at the spot, a party with the jocks

She over by the DJ, shaken what she's got

It start to get think, the crowd was intense

She had a plastic cup with red punch in it

Sat it down for a minute, then took another sip

With her hand on her hip, she did a little dip

Her feet start to slip, and then receives a helping hand

From a young man, who had the ill plan

Takes her to the van, lays her in the back

She couldn't fightback, the strength she lacked

Her voice was intact, but low in amplitude

She couldn't believe, nightmares come true

A face black shadows, was the one to misuse

Her lost innocence, she did not choose.

ated, life force depleted

Meade like dough and best believe she was heated

Ready to rise with fire in her eyes

Take down the man violates the space between her thighs

Why oh why she ask, a good girl went to class

Good grades about to pass, on to the collegiate

But she feels incident, from events that were recent

Wish dude was lock up in the precinct

Can't bring her self to say what went down that day

Just wants it to fade away, like the moon with its rays

Meeting the blaze of the sun,

from the pain she couldn't run

Tried to hide behind the smile

But the overcast would come,

With a thunderous drum, lightning strikes her hopes

Knocked up against the ropes, against all odds

There's a fighter within, battlin' the suicide whisperings

False premonitions, evil renditions of the truth

Olde to Saul

Download the mp3, here

Not Until you listen to Saul Williams without the college herd have you heard spoken word. Extract the mere confusion created by it and let the Che-poster-free-walls, the weed-smoke-free-halls, the underage alcohol withdrawal, the lack of cat calls for booty calls, the missing naïve notions, the absence of senseless unwavering devotions, and the stress relief of the summer's here finals over breeze illustrate it.

Let it remind the mind how to sing cool calming collected melodies with ease of a tree's growth. Under the shade of its arm we feed each. I hear no other voice but my own. Full grown as I have always heard it. No longer ashamed when my air waves flow back to me. I hear the truths I've spoken. I have rebuilt what was broken.

The trinity connects the dots that reveal the picture universe. It's dark now. I'm tracing the stars again, feeling my ascension. I'm floating above gloating. Glowing, guiding those who find the darkness and want to lose it. I say use it, choose it, like it, love it, because its where God hid.

Truth, power, respect, BALANCE, peace, low resistance to high aims, prophecies, philosophies, clarity thru disparity, freedom to be happy. Thus making life a game of, seriously played, purposed to be enjoyed, hide and seek.

From Peek-a-boo to pikachu, I think of my son as it rises to my east. Did not sleep. I watched the picture spin thankful once again for another twirl. My world is a merry-go-round like Kool Herc's merry-go-round-sound, looping vibes as eyes keep prize in line with sight. I move forward continuing the dance, writing the chants, for a chance, to create a better tomorrow. (break for haiku)

Can't borrow dollars
placed in pockets or escrow
to purchase a smile

Back to the dial, tune my own station, Nikki Giovanni on demand, Ego Trip is the shit, go cop blackalicous, cause gift is sick, prolific, articulate, when he dispenses, alliteration from A to G.

Potent Poetry

POTENT POETRY

Silver cap, Black ink, Gel mark, That Fire Breather, Mixed with ether, get cha lifted, like service elevators. I'm scourged in paper, rolled like Cuban cigars.
I am, Poet Concentrate to make poetic pimp juice. Ask Ro She know, that 1 toke, will stroke, your mind right, take you to higher heights, than the moon's view.
I am 100 proof.
I Bathe in think, I'm baptized in holy pools of ink, and reborn a pen.
I splurge in words, submerge in linguistics, take a sip, you're verbally twisted, mentally shifted to Capts. Penmanship coast through brainstorms to brave the allegories snapping.
I'm a hunter of Puns, Defender of definitions, Master of analytical illusions. the blurrer of confusion. I'm potent poetry.
Cats bust gats, I pop caps back, push your wig back, (double click) steady ink fire.
The good book glows, the embers deliver burns to the third degree, branded like fraternity arms.
I'm the Overdose from prose composed, in the wrist flick throws of passion.
I'm the sweet relief with no grief for a fools death.
Intellect infected when injected, consciousness protected when digested,
I'm the high of my own supply. I was brewed from genuine editions of phonic renditions.
Thrown in the hip hop crock pot, slow stirred with a drop of salt of the earth, wind, and fire.
Added free-thought poppy seeds, prophecy weed, and other secret contrabands from the divine fruit of the land.
I am the heart filled with adrenaline pumping black, blue, gray blood through your veins. Cause sometimes I'm via the pencil but never a stencil.
I am the essence.
The original origami of words, thoughts, and ideas folded like no other. Creases cleaner than west coast khakis.
On the block. On the corner. In the hand of your pusher man. Find me at the spot where you get that fire breather, That knowledge teacher, That wisdom breeder, That heavy hitter lyric spitter, That levy breaking, penetrating, elevating flow.
I float hope, on sine waves of bass, that free bass heads and treble heads alike. They free right and let their thoughts lock to rewrite the plot to the ghetto times best seller "destined to be destroyed." New title "OverJoyed" Stevie won't mind.
Besides I am the ribbon, I am Visions, I told him about lies and what colors they turn. I burn midnights, as inspired suns.
I am the heaviest of heavy, I am the deep that resurfaces on the other side of the globe.
I ignite cores and cover worlds in sea of flames. The games reduce to ashes, all that remains is smoldering desires of love drunk pens, ready to screw your undisputed virgin truths.
With all that I am, being far more than what you comprehend, when you hear the call, (Silver Cap) be forewarned, (Black Ink) This is potent poetry (Gel Mark) and the first sample is always free.

Checker’s Pawns

Could rule the world if the block didn’t box me.

Ali my hopes. Jump for hoops, over ropes. Play the dope

It how we smart kids cope. Because no one wants to be the blunt end of jokes

So we Clinton our tokes. Act as Nasa Satellites, high than a mother fucker

Which means not a god damn thing, just seems to get me the attention of these

Samuel L Jackson fiends, who loving every fucking thing that much more

If it has more curses than a charmed witches convention.

I say fuck, though I’m a virgin. Shit when I got to piss.

Assholes when they act like tits, and motherfuckers when fathers don’t exist.

It don’t make since and since this block is a checkerboard we kings get jumped

These pawns don’t know what they could become.

They double up to rule and make power play moves to control a broken board walk

Rented to their care.

No room for independence you’re either here or overthere

And here is where ego clash and strike hammer’s to the back of caps. Bullets and knees.

Still duck when guns drum in triplet rhythms

Hold my head with the hands of mother who smother their child with love after being slaughtered.

Hold on baby! It’s ok baby! Lord! Please, don’t take my baby!

Crazy? This is demented.

To play into a life that will end with a sentence. Death or Prison

This world is a stage and I’m just trying to make it to the second act.

With moral character intact, but this play stays in intermission.

Screening calls avoiding the curtains.

I’m certain it has my number because I continue to play myself.

As lowdown, dumb down, un-profound, don’t know how to use verbs, adjectives, and pronouns

Cause I be chillin’ on the block. Flash a glock like a badge for respect.

Since these motherfuckers don’t respect intellect.

My thought? On my set. Check my brains at the door.

Better to lose my mine than have it spattered on the floor.

These actions I abhor, options? I keep asking, begging praying for more, but I only got one.

They say there is no future in frontin’ well my future relies on it.

So I stay high, like my grades. A-C-T hard on the boulevard.

Irregardless of regard for brauds, I brag about their good heads for college.

If I bluff well enough, I just may survive. Speed out of this neighborhood and fly

On a ship, that’s fully equip by my gifts of my conscious on stealth.

It flys higher than butterfly doors on a phantom

Menaces creed? Ride or Die. It their anthem.

So I sing along as pawn to get among a dawn upon a coast and toast

This day, as captain of my ship, king of my domain, but until then

Back to this block. Back to this game.
